Setup
Place a marked ball on the stance mat at the tee location then place the Nova 6 feet directly behind the ball and the center of the screen or net making a straight line perpendicular from the center of the screen or net. Be sure the Nova is level with the hitting surface of the stance mat.
Please note that the tee/ball location should be 8 to 10 feet from the screen or net. This distance doesn't affect the tracking accuracy of Nova but has more to do with the space available and your comfort level. You don't want to be so close that you feel crowded, and you don't want to be so far away that some shots will miss the screen or net.
Aiming
On the computer, launch LMonitor from the desktop icon and click on the window titled PdGTEWindow2. With the PdGTEWindow2 windows selected press the "9" key on your computer keyboard.
Observe the marked ball in the PdGTEWindow2 window and then rotate the Nova in place until the the ball is centered from top to bottom like the image below.
Once complete, close LMonitor and Go Golfing!
To avoid having to go through this process often, follow the steps below.
- Using a Sharpie mark the tee/ball location on the turf
- Using a Sharpie or tape mark the Nova location
- Secure the stance mat to the floor to avoid gradual slippage across the floor. Alternately you could mark the location of the stance mat with a Sharpie or tape.
