Orion Installation Instructions

To be able to start a new match, you must click on “Go Golfing” from the home screen. 

This will take you to the quick round screen where you can either join other public matches started by other players, or you can create your own quick round. Note that there are several different types of matches that can be played, and matches can either be played with or without wagering. You will notice that the matches with wagers are visually different than matches without wagers. All matches with wagers will have the wager amount required (before fees) displayed at the top right-hand corner of the match.

Start Quick Round:

When you start a quick round, there are several settings that you can use in here. Note that the valid game modes for testing right now are Closest To The Pin, Match Play and Stroke Play. 

Handicap:

A players Handicap evolves the more regular matches they play. If you enable “use handicap” on Match Play, you will not be able to play the match by yourself, even though you created it, until at least one other person joins your match. 

Private Round:

If you enable Private Round, the match you create will not be able to be accessed by other players – other than those you invite directly to the match from your friends list. If you wish to return to the match, it can be found in “My games” tab at the home screen. It will not (currently) show up anywhere else. 

Course Select: 

The default course installed with this software is Detroit. There are many courses available as part of Orion Live and you can download those from your profile in the section named Courses.

Additionally, in the store, you have the option to purchase additional premium courses using coins. You are unable to join any matches for courses you have either not downloaded, or not purchased.
