What type of 9w bulbs are you using? I never thought of having the lights as you have them set up. That is the perfect solution for eliminating shadows passing through the sensors. I would be the first to "like" your set up, but i am anti facebook, I will say i believe you have solved my last issue, thanks

Glad to hear you like my setup. I use two 9watt compact florescent bulbs CFL that DD recommends. With black electrical tape and an inch and a half of reflective tin tape at the leading edge of the sole (on all woods) I am getting very acceptable results. Enjoy your optishot.

could you show a pic of the tape job on a couple of your clubs? I like your embedding the sensors to eliminate shadows!

Here's my wood pics. I am getting very accurate results . I also read somewhere that you can use white electrical tape instead of the silver tape and if your results are off you can even place your silver or white tape along the middle of the club as it would be easier to make a straight line because usually the leading edge of some woods are rounded. I really recommend you hit a bucket at the range and a analyze your average ball flight then go to the opti driving range and edit your clubsets offset and tweak until your satisfied with the results.

    Enjoy

I bought a used "teego" ball dispenser on ebay for 40 $ . I had to reinforce and modify it as its not very durable. I used pvc piping and can load about 250 balls.

Where do you have your projector setup and how far is it away from your screen?

Hey Jeff, my projector is about 18 feet from my screen and 8 feet from the floor off center about 3 feet to eliminate some shawdows. If I had a short throw projectorI would put it above me a few feet back. Also my screen is 10' ×8'. Go to www.golfsimulatorforum.com to signup for the optishot online tournaments

    cheers

What did you put between the optishot sensor and the new turf? Any padding. I am doing the same thing but there is a gap between the sensor and turf

Noticed that he's got a lamp for each set of sensors.  Does this work better than just having one lamp centered over the sensors?
